Pikatab is a Chrome extension that provides a new-tab workspace for tabs, bookmarks, favorite sites and saved pages. It is maintained by Guangzheng Li. This policy describes the extension and this privacy-policy website.

Data used by the extension

• Tabs: page titles, URLs, favicon URLs, tab identifiers, window identifiers and positions are used to display, search, group, switch, save and close tabs, identify duplicates and reuse the MyTab workspace.
• Bookmarks: bookmark titles, URLs and folder structure are read to browse, search and open bookmarks. Pikatab does not edit or delete Chrome bookmarks.
• Saved pages and favorite sites: titles, URLs, ordering and save/archive timestamps are stored in the current browser profile.
• Recently closed pages: titles, URLs and closing times are recorded to reopen pages. Up to 100 recent records are retained. Temporary tab snapshots are kept in browser session storage. This feature observes tab events; it does not request access to Chrome's full browsing-history database.
• Search input: text entered for Google or ChatGPT is used only when you submit that search. Pikatab does not maintain its own search-query history.

Local storage and retention

Favorite sites, saved/archived pages and recently closed records are stored with chrome.storage.local in your current browser profile. Temporary snapshots use chrome.storage.session. Pikatab has no developer-operated backend, extension account system, telemetry or cross-device synchronization.

Local records remain until you remove them, they are replaced by the recent-history limit, or the extension's storage is cleared. You can delete saved pages and favorite sites, remove or clear closed-page history, or uninstall the extension to remove its local storage. Existing Chrome bookmarks are unaffected. Pikatab does not add its own encryption layer to browser storage.

External services and network requests

Submitting a Google search sends the entered query to Google over HTTPS. Submitting a ChatGPT search sends the prompt to ChatGPT over HTTPS in a URL query parameter. A script included in the extension checks the matching prompt in the newly opened ChatGPT page and attempts to click Send once. It stops on user interaction, changed text, navigation or timeout. It does not extract existing conversation history, passwords or authentication cookies.

Google and ChatGPT process submitted content under their own policies and account settings. Search URLs may remain in normal browser history, and submitted ChatGPT prompts may be retained by ChatGPT. Deleting Pikatab data does not delete information held by those services.

Website icons use Chrome's favicon service and favicon URLs supplied by open tabs. Loading a remote icon can send a normal image request, including your IP address, to the icon host. Opening a page sends ordinary browser requests to that destination. These requests are not sent to a Pikatab backend.

Use, sharing and Limited Use

Pikatab uses this information only to provide its visible page-management and search features. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Search content is transmitted to the service you choose to fulfill your request. The developer does not receive your locally stored tab, bookmark or saved-page records.

Pikatab's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website and support

This static privacy page is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard request information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and secure the website. We do not add analytics scripts, advertising or tracking cookies to this page. If you contact us by email, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request.

• 搜索输入：仅在你主动提交 Google 或 ChatGPT 搜索时使用输入文字；Pikatab 不建立自己的搜索词历史。

本地存储与保留时间

常用站点、已保存及归档页面、关闭记录使用 chrome.storage.local 保存在当前浏览器配置中；临时快照使用 chrome.storage.session。Pikatab 没有开发者运营的后端、扩展账号系统、遥测或跨设备同步。

本地记录保留至你主动删除、达到关闭历史上限被替换，或扩展存储被清除。你可以删除已保存页面和常用站点、删除或清空关闭历史，或卸载扩展以移除其本地存储。现有 Chrome 书签不受影响。Pikatab 不在浏览器存储之上额外添加加密层。

外部服务与网络请求

提交 Google 搜索时，输入内容通过 HTTPS 发送给 Google。提交 ChatGPT 搜索时，问题通过 HTTPS 以网址查询参数发送给 ChatGPT。扩展内置脚本在新打开的 ChatGPT 页面检查输入框与所提交的问题一致后，尝试点击一次发送；发生用户交互、文字变化、导航或超时时停止。它不提取已有会话历史、密码或认证 Cookie。

Google 和 ChatGPT 按各自的政策和账号设置处理你提交的内容。搜索网址可能保留在浏览器历史中，ChatGPT 可能保留已发送的问题。删除 Pikatab 数据不会删除这些外部服务持有的信息。

网站图标来自 Chrome 图标服务及打开标签提供的图标地址。加载远程图标可能向图标主机发送包含 IP 地址的普通图片请求；打开网页也会向目标网站发起正常浏览请求。这些请求不发送至 Pikatab 后端。

用途、共享与 Limited Use

Pikatab 仅为可见的网页管理与搜索功能使用这些信息。我们不出售用户数据，不用于广告、信用评估或贷款，也不为无关目的传输数据。搜索内容仅为完成你的请求发送至你选择的服务。开发者不会收到本地保存的标签、书签或已保存页面记录。
